Though your wellness room is of personal choice there are a few best practices. First, it should feel like an exhale, no interruptions, nothing to make you feel judged or be hard on yourself.

Start with a space that offers natural light if you can. If you can’t have natural light, we can help create that feeling of nature with light. Next, choose a piece of art or framed poster that adds your style, and we’ll help you choose a picture light, so it glows. It will be a focal point in your wellness space.

Think biophilic, those are things that strengthen your connection to the natural world. Even the sleekest home gym benefits from touches of nature to help you breathe and calm your mind. Biophilic is comforting, natural materials with a touch of magic and even whimsy. Choose furniture, objects, and window coverings of fiber, leather, jute and wood.

Lighting brings the mood you want to create. Never harsh, it’s gentle and every light is on a dimmer so you can decide what the mood is. You may choose light to wash a wall of equipment or plants. You may want to add a lamp to put light in a corner to expand a tiny space. You may need task lighting that finds your hands as you craft or read or write. Combining these types of light, or layering light, will give your space a wonderful sense of welcoming. Your wellness space is all about you.
